Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin has been an actress in Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and made her stage debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on the 24th of July, 1982. She is a Canadian-born New Zealander actress. In 1993 she won the Academy Award at age 11 as the curious and talking child of Holly Hunter who played the main character. After she responded to an open call for auditions, she won the role in the role of Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who moved into New Zealand in mid-19th-century to get married. It was her first role at the age of nine, and she had no prior experience in acting. After moving in New Zealand, in the United States, she became an adult. Paquin appeared as Jane Eyre's main character when she was a teenager in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the lead role for the character in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 movie Amistad. The actress played teenagers as teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). Also, she played the character of Polexia Aphrodisa.
